Kiwi Steel was established in 1989 to meet a market need for a steel
trading and merchant company that offered top quality products and superior customer
service.
That vision - and our pursuit of it - has since proven a winning formula:
Kiwi Steel’s annual turnover has grown by an average of 17% each year since 1989.
From small beginnings with a total of six staff, modest stock holdings and the use of a
transport centre for distribution, the company has now expanded to employ over 50 staff. In 2002, Kiwi
Steel moved into our own purpose-built 65,000 sq ft processing, warehousing and administration
facility in South Auckland. In 2005 we added additional coil plate processing services.
Kiwi Steel’s future focused outlook will continue to strengthen
its leading-rank position in the New Zealand steel market.
