Cold Rolled Steel

Cold Rolled Steel Sheet and Coils

Cold rolled steel is available in a range of different qualities depending on your end use and application.

Cold rolled steel sheets and coil (CR) are produced by removing the scales from the surface of the hot rolled coil and sheets using hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid, which is further compressed through heat treatment at room temperature. This further processing gives CR much more uniform mechanical properties and tighter dimensional tolerances than hot rolled steel.

-          CR possesses a clean surface and excellent drawability, formability and paintability

-          CR mild steel has a wide range of light engineering and general usage

Commercial Quality: intended for exposed or unexposed parts where bending, shallow drawing, forming and welding may be involved.

Drawing Quality: intended for fabricating identified parts where drawing or severe drawing may be involved.

Extra Deep Drawing Quality: intended for fabricating identified parts where particularly severe drawing or forming may be involved.

Enamelling Quality: possesses the characteristics ensuring the best adhesion for porcelain enamelling and elimination of bubbling, fish scale, and excellent drawing quality.
